You might be surprised to hear that my background is in chemistry, but it's that very love of experimentation and play that I bring to my creative practice. I truly believe that letting go of perfectionism can lead to a more joyful and stress-free creative life, and I'm on a mission to encourage others to embrace that journey.
After years of traveling, I'm now happily settled in Minnesota with my family, and when I'm not in my studio, you can often find me digging around in the garden.

These video lessons are designed for the beginner watercolor artist, but don’t let that stop you from joining in the fun if you’re more advanced. There are plenty of techniques and mixed media additions to inspire every creativity level.
In each lesson, I will guide you through a step-by-step tutorial to paint a whimsical watercolor creation that can be cut out and used in your art journal, handmade greeting card, swap item, and more. In addition, anything learned in this course can be painted on loose watercolor paper and framed or combined into a beautiful composition.
Each lesson will include an in-depth focus on a watercolor technique, an addition of a mixed media element, and a helpful tip for beginners. These lessons are designed to make watercolor fun and accessible.

- You will be provided with a printable supply list of all the supplies that I use, and any alternatives that will also work. I always encourage you to use what you have, and help you figure out ways to make what you have work for you.
Q. Do I need to know anything about watercolor or mixed media before I enroll?
- No experience is necessary. I break down all the steps for any beginner, while encouraging those who are more experienced to explore and experiment!
Q. Will there be an online community?
- Yes! You’ll be given access to join the online Facebook group after enrollment.
