Watercolor, Bookmaking
and
Look! It Has Pockets!
This course starts with creating botanical watercolor focal points. Leaves, flowers, vines, weeds, and all sorts of backgound and collage papers.
Then, we put together an easy to assemble ring-bound book unlike other wobbly ring books. You'll be able to add your own artwork to the cover and customize your book to fit your needs.
And then the pockets! I'll show you how to create and fill pockets so your book becomes an inspiring place to begin creating all over again.
Join me on the most exciting course I've ever created!
Hi, I'm Tiffany Sharpe
I enjoy working with watercolor, mixed media, and creating unique handmade books. I’m a former chemistry teacher turned artist. Although not formally trained in art, I enjoy learning through experimentation and play. I hope to encourage others to let go of perfectionism and embrace a stress-free creative practice of their own. After much traveling, I’ve come to call Minnesota my home, where I live with my husband, two children, cat, and puppy. When I’m not painting or digging in my garden, you can find me out in nature.
Watercolor Botanicals
I love to include watercolor to everything. They make beautiful focal points, fun page accents, soft backgrounds, unique collage papers, and amazing cover art!
I'll show you how to create fun and loose watercolors and with my step-by-step instructions, yours will turn out amazing!
Pockets for Everything
Pockets are a must in my books. I use them to tuck away special keepsakes, vintage collectables, and art from previous classes. I also love the functionality and versatility of them.
What if the pockets in this book contained all that you needed to work on some more pages of this book? That would keep me inspired every time I opened this book!
A Ring-bound Design
Rings make book creating so adaptable and easy. I love being able to add more pages and keep growing my journals. I also love being able to remove a page to work on and even put through my sewing machine.
Don't like the wiggle of traditional rings? Don't worry, I've got a secret that takes card of that so the ring construction can be as sturdy as any book binding method with no sewing!
